昨日からサマープログラムが始まりました。
新しいお友達もたくさん^ ^
ほとんどのクラスの人数はいつもの2倍‼

色んなお友達と遊んで英語を聞いて、声に出してみたりと、
いつもより競争心がもっと強くなったように思えます。

日中はいっぱいのお友達と楽しく過ごした後、アフタースクールの国語の時間の様子です！

今日のアフタースクールはリズム遊び！
バチを使って、先生のマネをして音を鳴らしてみました♪

みんなで楽しくトントントン♪
叩くだけでなくコロコロ転がしてみたり、小さく叩いたり、
大きく叩いたり、音楽に合わせて叩いたり！
みんなとっても楽しそう♪

今日も元気いっぱいの子ども達でした！!

今日は、ナーサリ―クラスのスイミングのレッスンでした♪♪
回数を重ねるごとに、プールの中で身体をたくさん動かせるようになりましたよ！

講師やコーチに抱っこをされながら、足をバタバタさせて泳ぐ練習です！！
みんな気持ちよさそうに泳いでいます(^^)/

たくさんのカラーボールを大きなざるに入れて、潜らせて手を放すとボールが……
ポーン！！！と弾けてみんなとっても大喜び♪♪♪
とってもいい笑顔が見られますよ!(^^)!

ビニールプールでも足をバタバタさせて水遊びを思う存分楽しんでいます♪

Today was the Nursery students’ Star Festival celebration lunch with their families. Moms, dads, brothers, and sisters visited our school and we all ate lunch together.

The Nursery class students continued to do an excellent job using forks and spoons to feed themselves and showing mom and dad that they can clean up after themselves. This was also a nice opportunity for the parents to meet each other.

Next, the students colored stars and, with the help of their parents, wrote their names on them.

Then everyone added their stars to our Star Festival bamboo tree display.

That was our last of our Star Festival Open Days. We look forward to welcoming everyone to our school again soon.

Today it was the Kinder students’ turn to celebrate the Star Festival with their parents and teachers.
Tanabata – the Star Festival – is a Japanese festival connected to the story of Orihime and Hikoboshi. Orihime and Hikoboshi are lovers separated by a river (the Milky Way). According to the story they can only meet once a year, and only if the sky is clear. It is said that if it rains the river level rises, and stops the two lovers from meeting.
Today was a beautiful sunny day, perfect for celebrating the Star Festival.
Students from both Kinder classes excitedly welcomed their parents to join them for lunch.

After this, we wrote our Star Festival wishes on decorated stars and cut out the stars to hang on our Star Festival display.

 

Although this is a piece of Japanese culture, it was also a good opportunity to learn English. The K2 students practiced with the phrase “I want..” We hope everybody’s wishes come true!

今日は、サッカーレッスンの日でした！

Pink, yellow, blueのフープの上をコーチ声に合わせてジャンプをして、
同じカラーのマーカーコーンの上にボールを置き、キックをしてシュートをするというレッスン内容でした！

サッカーコーチと一緒に走ったり、ハイタッチをしたりとても仲良くなりましたよ♪

キンダークラスは身体をしっかり使ってキックをし、
シュートをする事が出来るようになりました！！！
走る姿もとってもかっこいいですね♪♪♪

今日はプリキンダークラスの七夕参観日でした！
まずはみんなでランチタイム♪
お父さんお母さんと食べるお弁当はいつもよりも美味しかったね☆
みんなとっても楽しそう♪

食べ終わったら製作タイム♪
子ども達が色を塗って保護者の方には子ども名前を書いてハサミで切ってもらいお星さまを作りました！
親子で協力して素敵なお星さまがいっぱい出来ましたね☆

出来上がった星を、ロビーに飾ってある笹の葉にみんなで飾って
最後はみんなでグッバイソングを歌いました♪
みんなお父さんお母さんと楽しい時間を過ごせてとってもhappyな様子でした！

今日は、ナーサリ―・プリキンダークラスのスイミングレッスンでした！

ビニールプールが新しくなり、以前のものよりも広くなったので、子ども達はとっても嬉しそうでした♪

寝そべって足をバタバタさせたり…♪♪♪
すっかりお水に慣れて、顔にかかっても平気です！！！
お友達同士でバシャバシャして笑い合っていました♪

自分で遊びを考えて楽しんでいる姿も見られました♪

みんな大好きな滑り台☆
1人ずつ滑っては、とっても満足そうな顔が見られましたよ(^^♪

Every Thursday afternoon, the long course students have Math lessons in Japanese with Haruka-sensei.

Today we practiced counting. This is an important skill for young children to develop in any language. It forms the basis of more advanced mathematics that they will use throughout their lives. But even for our youngest students there are many useful applications for counting, such as asking for two scoops of ice cream instead of one!

All of our classes have started practicing for Sports Day on September 1st.

The Nursery class is practicing for the egg and spoon race with red and yellow balls and toy shovels.

The students are practicing lining up and waiting for the teacher to call, “Ready, set, go!” Then the students try to balance the ball in their shovel while they race to the suitcases.

Then the challenge is to put the ball in the correct color suitcase.

So far, the older students can balance the ball in the shovel pretty well. The younger students need a little more practice, but everyone has fun!
