Today, the Pre-Kinder class started their day with a little practice for their school festival show. They first practiced lining up and walking in to some music.

Once in positions, the children then introduced themselves. Some with big voices,

some a little quieter,

but all did really well.
After the introductions, we practiced our songs and dance. First, ‘Open, Shut Them’, where the children have to sing and perform the actions. For example, ‘big’ and ‘small’.

Then ‘5 little Ducks’, where they practice counting down from five as poor mother duck’s little ducks start to wander off.

They especially enjoy quacking as they call the little ducks back.

Then the dance ‘Baby Shark’. This was just fun time.

When we finished practicing the show, we tried a little trick or treating. They stood at the door, knocked, and when it opened they would say “trick or treat.” As a reward, they would get a treat of their choice.

For some a donut was great. Some went for the interesting choice of a hamburger,

while others chose a carrot. Halloween, orange, I like the thinking.

Finally, we sang a Halloween song pretending to creepy spiders, skeletons, witches, and black cats.

A good way to end a busy morning. Great job everyone.
