June was such a fun month for us! We started our month off by going on a small field trip to the Plus Days park. It was so much fun and we even played an English game. We played a color listening game and an animal listening game. I would say the name of the animal or color, and the students raced to touch the card first. We saw so many different things outside! Everyone learned so much! I was very pleased!!
In class, we started working on phonics. Everyone shouts the sounds and letters so confidently! I am so pleased with how well they’re doing! They have so much fun making sounds and learning different words! We also practiced gesturing “yes” and “no” instead of just saying the words!
We worked on different gestures and learning about actions in June! Everyone did GREAT! We had some fun with new songs like “One little finger” and it quickly became the students favorite finger play! We also had lots of fun reading together! The students are always so engaged during storytime!
Everyone is doing great counting, saying their name, expressing their feelings, and identifying colors! I am so pleased and happy with how far pre-k has come since April! They’re only getting better and better each week! (:
