☆Pre-kinder☆

Today, the Pre-kinder class started with a little “Walking, walking.” They enjoy moving about and were eager to get going.

They started off with some walking,

followed by some jumping,

a little bit of sleeping, some not so sleepy,

with each action ended with a firm “stop!”

Once the children had sat back down, they practiced saying this month’s vocabulary. They are starting to use naturally the sentence, “It’s a … ,” which is great.

The cards were then spread out around the room. For today, the children were practicing saying “Car, please.” Then they would find, and give, the ‘car’ card.

Some needed a little guidance,

whilst others tried by themselves.

They all got a big high five when they had finished.

Once everyone had collected a card, we all said goodbye to the vocabulary. Goodbye train.

Finally, the children counted up to 10. Most can count well, but for the counting song the children had to try and use their fingers.

It can be a bit tricky, but they all gave it a good attempt.

They then built a tower using blocks.

They counted each block as it was added.

They built a pretty tall tower. However,

we counted more, and the tower grew and grew. Until,

a massive tower stood before them. And there is only one thing to do with a massive tower. On the count of three the children pushed and watched it crash upon the floor. There was much excitement. Then the blocks were put away.

The blocks were stowed away, the children stood and said goodbye.

Then they all lined up and danced together.

They all had an excellent time and finished in good spirits.

The children did very well. They were speaking instead of repeating, which is fabulous, and the had great fun with the activities.

Great job, everyone.
