今週でサマープログラムもおしまいです。
NISの子ども達もいっぱいの友達と一緒に居れて、沢山刺激されて
環境に慣れなくていっぱい泣いていていても、個々に興味をひくものが違うので
このサマープログラムで何か一つでも新しい発見があってくれたら嬉しいです。
上手に出来たら、先生みんなにTouch！Touch！Touch！
何か達成した後に必ずハイタッチをする習慣がついてきて、
先生とハイタッチするには、何かしないと!!!と
思うようになってきている様に最近の子ども達の成長をみて思います。
今日のアフタースクールは音遊びの時間でした！！
英語の歌に合わせて、テーブルの上を叩いて音をだしたり……♪
「scratch！！！scratch！！！」とテーブルをひっかく真似をしたり……♪
普段使っているテーブルですが叩き方によって色々な音が出るので、子ども達はとっても楽しんでいましたよ♪♪
音楽に合わせてスカーフをひらひら～とさせたり、
顔にかけていないいないばあをしたり(^^♪
みんなリズムをとりながら遊びを楽しんでいました！
今日はナーサリ―クラスのスイミングレッスンの様子を
ご紹介します！
その後は大きなプールに入ります！
先生たちが必ず抱っこして、支えながら
子ども達はバタ足をしたり、ボールを使って遊んだり！
みんなとっても楽しそうでした♪
How to cross the road safely is a valuable skill we can teach our students. Of course it’s about safety, but it’s also an opportunity to learn English expressions such as “stop”, “go”, “look left”, “look right”, and more. The expressions relate directly to their behavior and their world, making it very easy to understand the meaning. With repetition, students soon begin to use the phrases independently.
Because we could safely cross the road and go to the park, we could enjoy time playing outside today.
This week we are also running a summer school program for Elementary school students! On Monday we spent a great day studying the weather and recycling. One of the highlights was making some musical instruments out of trash and playing them while singing everybody’s favorite Weather Song very loudly!
Today, the topic was animals and after spending the morning in the classroom studying about zoo animals, where they live in the world, how tall a giraffe is, how heavy an elephant is, how old a giant turtle is, and describing what the animals look like, we went to Maruyama Zoo!
It was hot but lots of fun! Tomorrow, we’re going to make volcanoes!
昨日からサマープログラムが始まりました。
新しいお友達もたくさん^ ^
ほとんどのクラスの人数はいつもの2倍‼
色んなお友達と遊んで英語を聞いて、声に出してみたりと、
いつもより競争心がもっと強くなったように思えます。
日中はいっぱいのお友達と楽しく過ごした後、アフタースクールの国語の時間の様子です！
今日のアフタースクールはリズム遊び！
バチを使って、先生のマネをして音を鳴らしてみました♪
みんなで楽しくトントントン♪
叩くだけでなくコロコロ転がしてみたり、小さく叩いたり、
大きく叩いたり、音楽に合わせて叩いたり！
みんなとっても楽しそう♪
今日も元気いっぱいの子ども達でした！!
今日は、ナーサリ―クラスのスイミングのレッスンでした♪♪
回数を重ねるごとに、プールの中で身体をたくさん動かせるようになりましたよ！
講師やコーチに抱っこをされながら、足をバタバタさせて泳ぐ練習です！！
みんな気持ちよさそうに泳いでいます(^^)/
たくさんのカラーボールを大きなざるに入れて、潜らせて手を放すとボールが……
ポーン！！！と弾けてみんなとっても大喜び♪♪♪
とってもいい笑顔が見られますよ!(^^)!
ビニールプールでも足をバタバタさせて水遊びを思う存分楽しんでいます♪
Today was the Nursery students’ Star Festival celebration lunch with their families. Moms, dads, brothers, and sisters visited our school and we all ate lunch together.
The Nursery class students continued to do an excellent job using forks and spoons to feed themselves and showing mom and dad that they can clean up after themselves. This was also a nice opportunity for the parents to meet each other.
Next, the students colored stars and, with the help of their parents, wrote their names on them.
Then everyone added their stars to our Star Festival bamboo tree display.
That was our last of our Star Festival Open Days. We look forward to welcoming everyone to our school again soon.
Today it was the Kinder students’ turn to celebrate the Star Festival with their parents and teachers.
Tanabata – the Star Festival – is a Japanese festival connected to the story of Orihime and Hikoboshi. Orihime and Hikoboshi are lovers separated by a river (the Milky Way). According to the story they can only meet once a year, and only if the sky is clear. It is said that if it rains the river level rises, and stops the two lovers from meeting.
Today was a beautiful sunny day, perfect for celebrating the Star Festival.
Students from both Kinder classes excitedly welcomed their parents to join them for lunch.
After this, we wrote our Star Festival wishes on decorated stars and cut out the stars to hang on our Star Festival display.
Although this is a piece of Japanese culture, it was also a good opportunity to learn English. The K2 students practiced with the phrase “I want..” We hope everybody’s wishes come true!
