Many of our students have been attending weekly swimming lessons for several months now. It’s been great to see them becoming more comfortable in the water.

Recently, the Kinder students have started moving more independently in the water, and now they have progressed to swimming with only the most minimal float aids.

I was surprised that the students were not even a little scared to let go of Aoki-sensei’s hand and clearly enjoyed reaching this new milestone in their swimming lessons.

11月に入り、ナーサリークラスに新しいお友達が増えたり、曜日ごとの子ども達の人数も増えて 更に賑やかになっています♪
子ども達同士の関わり合いも増え、お友達の名前を呼んだり、手を繋いだり、お友達を意識している様子がたくさん見られるようになりました！！

お友達に自分の意思を伝える時も、英語でお話しています(^^♪
何かをしてもらった時には「Thank you!!!」
されて嫌な事を伝える時は「No, thank you.」
おもちゃを貸してほしい時は、「Share, please!!」など自然と出てくるようになっている子もいます!

1, 2歳の言葉の出始めの時期に、日々英語を聞き生活をしているとこんなにも自然と英語を発声することが 出来るようになるようです♪♪♪
たくさんの英語を身に付けて、外国人講師とのコミュニケーションを楽しんでほしいですね(^^♪

ナーサリ―クラスのスイミングレッスンの様子です！！
11月から12月の目標は、顔をつける、水中歩行の導入です。
水遊び大好きな子ども達は顔に水がかかっても嫌がらず、とっても楽しんでいます!(^^)!

水の中に口まで入れて、ブクブクブク…
お水を飲みこまないでブクブクする練習をしました！
コーチや講師の真似をして一緒にブクブクをしては、笑い合っていましたよ♪

水中歩行の導入では、水中の中にある輪を自分で探して掴んだり、カラーボールを投げて取りに行く事で、
水の中を歩く練習をしています。

水の抵抗を感じながら、歩くことも楽しんでいる様子でした！
毎月の目標をクリア出来ている子が多く、これからもスイミングを楽しみながら泳力をつけていってくれると嬉しいですね♪♪♪

I’m always amazed at how creative students can be. They can use a variety of materials to build all kinds of things and then use their imagination to bring them to life.
Free play is an important time for students to flex their creative muscles and this in turn has benefits for their cognitive and social abilities.

Today, while playing, the Kinder 2 students built a “tree” using their names and then tried to hang items that belonged to each other from the “branches”. Students were learning about both themselves and each other but in a way that was student driven.

今日はナーサリ―クラスを紹介します。

プレールームで遊んだ後、みんなで手をつないでクラスに行きます。
クラスに行ってからからナーサリ―クラスのスタートです！
歌や踊りを交えて天気や動く、走る、止まる等の日常英語を毎日楽しんでいます。

その後は、椅子に座って名前や気分、自分の年齢を先生と一緒にお話します。
What`s your name?　I`m（ここまでは、先生が言う）○○！（ここは自分で） 名前を言ったり、まだ言えないお友達の名前を教えたり。。。プリキンダーではI`m○○！まで自分で言えてるんです。WOW！

曜日によって活動が違いますが、ABCに触れている活動の様子を紹介します。
ABCソングに合わせてアルファベットを指さしで文字のシェイプや読み方を覚えていきます。
曲なしでも歌えるお友達も！
その後にアルファベット パズルのように同じアルファベットを探したり、ゲーム感覚でたくさん吸収しています。子ども達の覚えの速さに大人の方が本当にびっくりします！！

これからが楽しみなナーサリ―クラスでした。

今日のプリキンダークラスの様子をご紹介します(^^♪
最近のプリキンダークラスの子ども達はとってもしっかりしています！
スクールの生活にもすっかり慣れ、落ち着いてレッスンに取り組めているようです！

絵本を見るときも最初はじっと座って見る事が難しかった子ども達ですが、
最近ではしっかり座って集中して絵本を見ることが出来るようになってきました(^^♪
新しいお友達も増えて、これからのプリキンダークラスのみんながどんな風に成長して
いくのかとっても楽しみです♪

今日がハロウィンウィークが最終日でした！！！
一週間みんないろんな仮装をして登園をしてとっても盛り上がりました♪♪♪

それぞれ好きな仮装をしていて、ひとりひとり個性が出ていましたよ！！！

 

ハロウィンソングもみんなすっかり覚えて、spiderやskeleton、black catの真似も上手にできています(^^♪

お部屋に貼ってある、ghostやjack o’lanternをみんなで探してカウントをしました！
見つけると嬉しそうに教えてくれます!(^^)!

 

「Trick or Treat(^^♪」

My favorite thing about Halloween? Was it the trick or treating? Maybe it was afterwards, sitting with my brother and sister as we counted our spoils from the night.

Today, the Kinder students had the chance to learn about some of these Halloween traditions, such as trick or treating. It was also a good time to practice counting. We counted well over 100 pieces of candy. Then the students filled jars. Could they guess how many pieces were inside? Amazingly, they guessed the exact amount!!!
For the Kinder students, there is still one more day remaining in our Halloween Week. I can’t wait to see what costumes the students will wear tomorrow.

For our Nursery and Pre-Kinder students, today was the last day of Halloween Week because of our swimming lessons tomorrow morning.
As with every other day this week, the kids looked wonderful in their costumes!

I especially like the picture of Donald Duck helping his little Jack O’Lantern classmate! Thank you to all the parents and family members for helping make Halloween Week so much fun. We’re already looking forward to next Halloween!

Today was the third day of Halloween Week! And it was just as much fun as the first two days! 😊

Here are some of our Kinder students with their scary wolf teacher!!!

We have been so impressed with all of the costumes. Everyone has made so much effort and the kids seem to have really enjoyed dressing up – the teachers too!!

Here are some of the Nursery and Pre-Kinder students holding hands and lining up to go to class for “Halloween Hour”. Aren’t they cute?!
The students are all getting very good at naming and counting the ghosts, spiders, black cats, witches and skeletons on the walls of the classrooms, and singing our Halloween song while creeping like spiders, flying like witches, running like cats, dancing like skeletons, and “haunting” like ghosts!!
We also read a cute Halloween story book in the Nursery class this morning which all of the kids loved! The Pre-Kinders got creative with pumpkin playdough made from real pumpkin!!

At the end of Halloween Hour, everyone is ready for their snack and a drink and then it’s time for Trick or Treat (their favorite part) before we take off our lovely costumes … until tomorrow!!

昨日から始まったハロウィンウィーク！
今日も可愛い子ども達が元気に登園してきました。
魔女やスパイダー、ゴーストの歌や踊りを踊ったり、ハロウィンを楽しんでいます。

スクール中に海賊や鬼太郎、ジャックオーランタン、プリンセス…様々な衣装の子供たちが遊んでいて、いつものスクールと全く違う雰囲気です！
子供たちは「Trick or Treat！！」と先生に言ってお菓子をもらったり♡。。。
かばんの中にしまってるのでお家で今日の様子を聞きながらどうそ！

今週はたっぷり秋の季節や行事に触れて残り少ない秋を楽しみたいと思います(^^♪
