■Four-year-old breaks 3,500-year-old jar
A four-year-old boy accidentally broke a 3,500-year-old jar at the Hecht Museum in Haifa, Israel. The boy’s father explained that his son wanted to see what was inside the jar, which was made around 1,500 BC and likely used for storing wine.
The museum staff were understanding when the parents informed them about the accident. Inbal Rivlin, the museum director, encouraged families to visit museums and said they would repair the jar and display it again soon.
The museum hopes the family will return for another visit. The boy’s father expressed his regret for the incident.

4歳の男の子が、イスラエルのハイファにあるヘクト博物館で3,500年前の壺を誤って壊してしまいました。男の子の父親は、息子が壺の中を見たかったと説明しました。この壺は紀元前1500年ごろに作られ、ワインの保存に使われていたと考えられています。
博物館のスタッフは、両親が事故について知らせたときに理解を示しました。博物館のディレクターであるインバル・リブリンさんは、家族に博物館を訪れてくれるように慰め、壺を修復して再び展示する予定であると述べました。
博物館は、家族が再度訪れてくれることを望んでいます。男の子の父親は、この出来事について後悔の意を表明しました。
